Got up, packed our stuff, checked out of the hostel and had a couple of hours before our bus left. So why not hike a few kilometers to a nearby waterfall. We did just that, had to hurry a bit to get back in time for the bus, but it was worth it. Beautiful waterfall.
The drive to El Calafate took 3½ hours but it was our last trip with the bus so it didn't matter too much to us. Fantastic scenery as we left El Chalten with the mountains behind us. Arrived in El Calafate in the late afternoon and got our room at the hostel before heading out for some very late lunch. Italian food for a change.
