Started the day with a visit to two wineries. This time with Malene as driver and Mikkel ready for tasting wine. Mission and Te Awa. Te Awa had no other visitors at 11 when we came so they had plenty of time to talk to us about - wine.
Mission was more like a supermarket. Bought a couple of bottles of late harvest from both of the places before shopping in the supermarket leaving town for the drive north. Not the best conditions for driving north with rain and a lot of wind. And roads getting more bendy and narrow but still with a lot of traffic.
Found a nice beach for a short break before heading to Gizborne. Arrived in the evening and found the town "dead" more or less.
