Didn't really want to leave the hostel this morning. So we clung to the bed and waited until 8 to get up. Had breakfast and did the last packing of our stuff. Now it's back to backpacker business. We're flying out to Chile and then Argentina this afternoon so the blue oyster car has to be emptied of all of our stuff and all the crap that we have collected for the past two weeks.
Had breakfast in the beautiful morning sunshine before leaving the backpackers.
Had a short stop on the road after 5 kilometers to wait for a windturbine transport to clear the narrow road. Headed for Auckland without too much happening on the way. Had a short stop at the Icebreaker outlet to do this trips (4½ months so far) first real shopping spree.
After an hour we were done shopping and drove to the rental car company, left the car and headed for the airport. 3107 km driven on the south island and 2921 km driven on the north island. We have seen so many beautiful places it is hard to understand.
Left Auckland on LAN800 at 4:15 in the afternoon. For a new adventure at a completely new continent. 12 hours of non-stop flying ahead of us.
Felt kind of dizzy after a 12 hour flight. Not too bad though. Had some hours in Santiago before the flight out to Buenos Aires. Arrived in Buenos Aires with no problems. Got our luggage and were picked up by a driver from the hostel and arrived at the hostel at around 6 in the afternoon. Went to bed when we got to our room.
